About Me

My photo
I hope that what I post here and what you read may in some way encourage, challenge, inspire, or simply interest you... The Week 1 - 21 posts are a series dedicated to EXCEL School of Performing Arts Tour 2015. It's impossible to capture the whole experience, but here I choose to share at least one thing I learnt in each week of XLTT15.

Thoughts

There is so much I could say.
Right now I'm on mid-semester break after a very busy last month and a half of learning to adapt and figuring out new routines. It's true that I love drama and acting but I can't express how much of a difference it is going from being the oldest student at children's drama classes to being the youngest student at tertiary level performing arts! It's a big jump and is very challenging on a lot of levels.
I'm seeing what an emotionally investing journey this year will be.
My first week at Excel was super overwhelming, which is a word I tend to be using a lot lately. The beginnings of some really close friendships have sparked - it's so great being around people who love the same things and are just as crazy as myself. Just be warned that when you throw a group of drama kids together, in any situation, there's bound to be silliness and a level of weird that no one else will understand!
For the better part I'm really happy to be where I am this year but of course I miss my family and friends from the Hutt/Wellington/Waikanae. In saying that, I've got this week off so I'm coming down to visit! During this week I hope to write up some more specific stories and experiences from my life in the past couple months.
Much love and God be with you.
